Crane Arrives to Begin Work on Project

February 5, 2014

A major construction crane has arrived at The Kenwood Collection, the retail and office project being developed by Phillips Edison & Company of Cincinnati.

Cincinnati-based Messer Construction Co. – the general contractor on the first phase of the project – will utilize the Peiner Tower Crane to complete work on the project’s office tower, which is expected to open in the fall of 2015.

Adjacent to Kenwood Towne Centre in the northern Cincinnati suburb of Sycamore Township, The Kenwood Collection consists of 300,000-square- feet of upscale retail and approximately 200,000-square-feet of Class A office space. Current retail tenants include Crate & Barrel, The Container Store and Mitchell’s Salon & Day Spa. Neace Lukens, one of the region’s largest insurance companies, has agreed to lease one of the floors in the planned office tower.

Jones Lang LaSalle is the leasing agent for the project’s office space. Jeffrey R. Anderson Real Estate is overseeing leasing of the retail space.

Phillips Edison’s Strategic Investment Fund purchased The Kenwood Collection – formerly named Kenwood Towne Place – in July of 2012 from a bank lending group led by Bank of America.
